Weigh in

28/03/07

96.9kg

29/03/07

97.5

Hmm - so I whent up 600 grams overnight. Not surprising seeing as I didn't do a thing towards my goal. How soft am I? I mean seriously. I want to lose fat and put on muscle. I also want to be a good boxer, a paramedic (maybe a firie, maybe a cop.... not sure about that one). Also I want to be debt free but also have a house. So what the F$%k am I doing about it? Not a lot. I just bought a new (second hand) rifle that whilst is really sweet cost me a weeks wages. I'm drinking a sugar ladened Ice Coffee as I type this knowing that it is counter-productive. I'm going to eat cheese ladened home made pizza for tea whilst watching the biggest loser (hey that does that count as exercise?). I've got the application forms for firies and paramedic lying on the floor of the computer room. To sum it all up I'm doing all the wrong things even though I know what I'm supposed to be doing. Really I'm a gunna. Gunna do this, gunna do that. Kinda depressing

My comments

Well here we are two months into what the Biggest Loser calls my journey (weight loss journey). I've lost a whopping 2.6kg. Whoopee F#%king Doo. What's that? About 300 grams a week? Hmm actually 300 grams a week fat loss would equal 15 kilograms over a year. That's actually pretty freaking good. I mean, it's not dramatic from a week to week perspective but it's damn good over a year. In fact, doing the math that'd mean I'd be 85kg Jan 08. The last time I weighed that I was 19/20 years old!

I'm glad I thought that through 'cause now I'm pretty pleased with myself. Perhaps I'd been having unrealistic role models aka what the biggest loser contestents were pumping out. They work out 4 hours a day and eat right whereas I work out about 2 hours a week if i'm lucky and drink booze and "energy" drinks (night shift - don't you love them?).

Anyhow - time to go a bit harder. I signed up for the Army Reserve as a motivator (and to learn new skills, shoot guns, meet up with some top blokes etc) but their pretty piss poor with their communication. I fully expect some letter saying "come on in next week for fitness testing" instead of giving me a proper heads up. I'm also in the process of putting together an application for the Fire Brigade. They get to snooze most of their night shifts :-)

Anyhow (do I say that to much?) - I hope you guys and gals are still working towards your goals. Keep the faith, and if you fall of the wagon don't beat yourself up over it - pick yourself up and keep plodding along.

:-)

Day Thirty Four

Weigh in

  • 97.6kg
  • 27.6% Body Fat
  • 51.3% Body Water
These stats are pants

Exercise

  • over 10k steps ( took pedometer off and forgot to put it back on - pedometer read 9,700)
  • over an hour manual labour (after my boxing training - ouch ouch ouch)
  • 1/2 hour personal boxing training - great workout (Man I punch like a girl when I'm tired)
Diet Wrap up

OK - here's where I've F$%ked up. Alcohol. I've had the whole week off and I got pissed every night. It is funny (well kinda funny) how it sneaks up on you. It's only today that I relised that i'd done it. What's worse is knowing that i've done it and I fully intend doing it again tonight. Ahh well.
